TIANO SOLANA

Argentinian Artist | Based in Punta Cana

A painter by training and vocation, Tiano Solana began his journey in the fine arts in 1988. His visual language, consolidated over nearly four decades, bridges technical mastery with a profound sensitivity toward the human essence, always keeping pictorial research as the core of his life’s work.

Based in the Dominican Republic for over twenty years, his art has evolved in close connection with the sea. As a dedicated surfer, Tiano finds in the dynamics of the waves a source of introspection and movement that translates into his brushwork. This lifestyle fuels an anthropological exploration of his surroundings, currently embodied in his series "Caribbean Glow: The Art of the Smile." Through the female figure, he documents a luminous virtue: the state of fulfillment that defines the region’s cultural soul. This vision is the fruit of a transcendental journey, shaped by years of introspection in the forests of Uruguay and social work in Argentina and Calcutta.

With a solid international trajectory, his work has been exhibited in renowned venues across the Dominican Republic, USA, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, and Colombia. His pieces are held in private collections in more than 25 countries.
